I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who supported my family during this difficult time as we laid my beloved wife, Rosita Cornejo Cacactin, to rest. On September 22, 2024, at around 1 PM, her body was finally resting at Angelus Eternal Garden in Imus, Cavite. From the Labean Funeral, where she was previously buried, to this final journey, her entire family was there, led by me, her husband, Florendo Cacactin, along our children, to give her one last loving farewell.
I sincerely thank all those who were part of this moment, especially the entire staff of South Star Print Center, the editors, reporters, and staff of the North-South Journal, where Rosita served as a publisher for many years. I also extend my thanks to the Publisher’s Group of Cavite, both private and public organizations, and the residents of Brgy. Alima, who came to pay their respects. To our neighbors, relatives, and friends of both the Cacactin and Cornejo families, your presence and support meant so much to us.
Special thanks go out to the clients of South Star Print, who reached out with messages of support and comfort. Your heartfelt sympathy during this time has been a source of strength for me and my family.
I am overwhelmed with appreciation as well as deep sadness over the sudden passing of my dear wife, Rosita. Rosita was not merely my lifelong companion, but also the source of illumination that added joy to each day. I am facing a future without her physical presence, and her absence has created an extensive vacuum in my heart. But in light of this overwhelming grief, I have drawn strength from the unwavering support of those around me—my family, friends, and colleagues. Your care and compassion have been a beacon of hope during this most challenging time.
To my dear sons and daughters, your love has been my greatest source of comfort. You have shown extraordinary resilience and compassion, and through your strength, you have held our family together when we needed it most. Watching how you honor your mother’s memory fills me with immense pride and gratitude.
Rosita will be remembered not just for her work as a publisher, but for the love and kindness she showed to everyone. Thank you all, once again, for standing by us in this time of grief.
Once again thanks to all.
Florendo T. Cacactin Sr,
