Typhoon Aghon impacted 51,659 individuals, or 16,336 families, according to information released on Wednesday by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
\nThe NDRRMC indicated in its most recent report that 25,980 people in Calabarzon and 10,476 in Bicol were the majority of those afflicted.
\n14,816 individuals, or 3,878 families, of the impacted population, were housed in evacuation facilities, while 6,409 households, or 1,585 individuals, sought refuge elsewhere.
\nTwo males, ages 56 and 22, who drowned, and a man, 39, who was struck by a falling tree, were among the dead. The province of Quezon accounts for six of the seven recorded fatalities.
\nEighty of the 109 towns and communities that had power disruptions now have their supply restored. Of the nine affected areas, eight now have restored water supplies. In three of the four impacted regions, communication lines had also been restored.
\nAghon caused the cancellation of twelve flights\u2014eleven domestic and one foreign\u2014but seven of those have since restarted.
\nFifty of the sixty seaports that were impacted have reopened for business. In Central Visayas, there were still 142 travelers and one ship stuck.
\nAghon caused work schedules to be suspended in 72 regions and classes to be suspended in 117 areas.
\nAccording to NDRRMC, victims in CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol, and Central Visayas have received assistance totaling P4,124,147.
